Transmission/Electrical?

2016 Chevy Silverado. I got into my truck last Thursday. Enters limp mode upon startup. Take it to the dealership, they got a code for the transmission. Call me back the next day saying that it's the wiring to the transmission not the trans itself. 48k on the truck and they say it's not covered under the powertrain warranty because it's electrical. Furious about it but agree to pay the 400$. Pick the truck up, service advisor tells me he knows this isn't the solution. Says I'll be back with more issues. Jump in the truck the next day. Battery is completely dead. Can't even be jumped. Tow it back to the dealer...next day they call me to authorize 500$ worth of charges for a new battery and diagnosis. They have no idea what the issue is. GM Corporate says they will do nothing. I need to pay for everything. Only other thing of note is I had issues with the 4WD at 1300 miles. Took them 3 times to fix it. Solution was to replace the solenoid.

Any my suggestions on the next steps?  Feel like I'm getting robbed.

I would be asking what the service advisor meant by this is not the fix. If you have bumper to bumper warranty than it should be covered. Then to demand $500.00 for work they don’t know what is going on, nope they would be fixing your truck. Hope it helps you. Be safe

He should go to a different Dealer.

Dealer Tech should have software to use on his truck to diagnose the BUS and know exactly what is wrong.

Doesnt sound like his Dealer employs an actual mechanic.

unfortunately if the battery is dead then they cannot do any diagnostics so get it back home and do the battery yourself or pay the 500 bucks i know it sucks but you dont have many option with this

Bumper to bumper expired 4K ago. Taking to a new dealership today. Just seems like it should be covered or at least the dealership should fix what they caused.

Ill never but a GM product again. The worst decision I made in recent history.
