2016 Silverado 3500 HD engine under cover splash shield

I purchase my first Chevy Truck last year and was surprised to see a plastic splash shield under the engine.  It's already cracked and to my knowledge, I haven't hit anything.  Does anyone know of a steel replacement for this?  The original GM part # is 1228139.

You can get just the front skid plate only, GM dealer wants around $185 for it. Might have to look up a GMC with the All Terrain package. 

 

Part numbers I used about  a year ago after replacing 2 plastic ones due to cracking -

Confirm with your dealer before ordering that they are correct part numbers.
