HVAC whistle

My 2017 Silverado 1500 LT 5.3 has just about 9300 miles. As the weather has cooled down a bit over the past week or so, I'm noticing a 'whistle' sound much like tea kettle when I have the HVAC in auto mode. This never happened all summer into early fall of ownership. If I hit the A/C button to turn it off, it goes away. If I adjust the temp up a few degrees it goes away.

Has anyone else run into this?

UPDATE: it hasn’t done it since this post. I wondering if the was some debris in the system. A leaf or something. Definitely going to keep an eye on it.

My POS does this on cooler weather (and all winter long).  It is a beautiful thing.

Going in for my 4th recall next week along with a steering wheel replacement.  I have a stock All Terrain and the front end has clicked when near a full lock turn since I've bought it.  They say it isn't the steering rack.  But I bet now that the bumper to bumper warranty is done, they will tell me it is the steering rack.

If it starts doing it again, try removing the in-cab filter and see if it makes any difference.  Should be a warranty item though.

I also have a 2017 Silverado 5.3l LT, with only 2500 miles on it, and with the fan on high I have an annoying whistle. Goes away as I lower fan speed, but is still there.

Now that is gotten colder, I’m set climate control to around 72/74 degrees, I’m not hearing the whistle. Maybe the whistle is from the AC which isn’t being called upon now that we have colder ambient temps? Or as previously mentioned, perhaps there was som debris somewhere in the vents that worked itself out.
