Stopped by our loacal tire store today and got a new set of tires .

These are Cooper Discoverer a/t tires in a 265-75-16 size these have a load range E and are 10 ply

Just upgraded from 235-85-16s same height but a wider tread pattern .

But the rear wheels still stick in the wheel well more than the fronts

Total after all taxes and mounting and all that good stuff came out to $682

Looks good. You'll have to tell us how they handle. I am not too impressed with the wet weather handling of my Michelins.

BTW. Those are my favorite production Chevrolet wheels. But, I just like the 88-98 the most anyways.

Nice rubber. Too bad they're not 285s

Wouldnt sell me 285s for my truck none of the places would (I called 15 places)

My friend was only able to get 295s on his 95 k1500 because his sisters boy friend worked there.

Let us know how they last and handle. I was looking at a set of them at the local Big O the other day. Thay wanted $580 mounted & balanced for a set of 285's in a load range C. They area definate possibility for teh Tahoe this fall as I am sick of the p series tires that came with it.

Those are great tires!!! I had the off-brand Coursers that are made by Cooper and have the exact tread pattern as yours.

Traction was excellent and I attributed it to the deep lugs and heavy "siping". They really stuck in the snow/ice and rain.

They were wearing great when I sold the truck!!!

My 97 K 1500 Z71 came with 265's on it and I had 305's on it when I sold it.I wonder why yours came with 235's.I would never run load range E tires on a 1/2 ton truck .They ride so much rougher than the load range C & D tires ,but hey thats me.The look good though,I always liked the coopers,I put a set on my company vehicle a couple years ago and since then whenever my factory rubber needs replacing on the company ride I always put coopers on.

My truck came with 245s from the factory.

I put the 235s on about 2 yrs ago to see how they would do and they did pretty good but looked way to narrow .

The 265s now are the same height (according to the store) but look like the fill up the wells better like Hillhound mentioned .

Went with E instead of D because I have had good luck with the E-10ply combo and really dont care about ride quality

Although these do ride a lot better than my old tires

nice

why wouldn't they sell you those tires? I got my tires at tiresplus and the guy there was asking if i wanted to go with 35's in stead of 33's since they look cooler.

Probally because u got a 4" lift instead of being stock height
