Tech 2 help

Borrowed a Tech 2 scanner to install a BCM in my sons car.  That went great but I ran into an issue when trying to diagnose a couple of problems on my 2003 suburban with Quadrasteer.  One was a P0300 and I think I have that solved but I was also trying to diagnose why the Quadrasteer was not working and I got to the right screen once and was playing around and turned on the lights for the quadrasteer indicators.  

Now I can't seem to find my way back to shut them off to normal status.  I think the Vehicle type is K and it asks for the transfercase type and I enter "electronic/manual switch"  there are other options. 

Anyone know of a way to get those lights turned back to normal? I have spent about an hour trying to find my way back and I can't.  Is there a way to set everything back to default?

Once you disconnect the scan tool all of the functions previously selected are returned to default. 

 

Try this.

 

Build the vehicle.

When you get to the part where it say's

Powertrain

Body

Chassis

Diagnostic circuit check.

 

Click the last one.

The clear all the codes in all the models one at a time. They should go from yes to know. If not let me know and I will see if I can walk you through it better.

Thanks alot,  I will try that tomorrow. That is the one place I did not go.   The vehicle code is K correct?  Am I entering the right thing for the transfer case or does that matter?

 

Would love to have the quadrasteer working again but I think that is a long shot.  The Tech 2 was great for adding a new BCM on the 2004 GTO and then linking it to everything else and creating the keys.  Glad I was able to use it.  It was also great to diagnose the P0300 I was having to see which cylinder were actually having the issue.

Yep, K is for 4x4s.  

 

You can buy a Tech2 now for reasonable prices.  Bought mine from the factory in China that makes them.

Okay,  I found it, under Chassis I can found where to turn the lamp off and it turns off, but then when I exit it turns back on again,

Did you do that under SPS?

Went in from Chassis, then ignored the ABS message and then when to service 4wheel steer.  I have some photos if that helps
