Help with Level/Lift Kit and Tires for 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4x4 Crew Cab

Guys - sorry if the answer can be found elsewhere in the forum. Just joined the forum and not entirely familiar yet. I need some help with a leveling kit and tire sizes for my truck.

First off, what is the best way to find out what kind of control arms I have - stock cast aluminum, stock cast steel, or stock stamped steel?

I am trying to purchase a good level kit and I'm leaning toward the Rough Country 2.5" GM Leveling Lift Kit below. My parents bought me a set of Toyo R/T 285/60R20 for Christmas. Will they work with my truck and this kit?

Thanks in advance for all yall's help!

Oh I can't see the sig on Tapatalk.

So you likely have cast steel UCA or possibly aluminum but you do not have stamped steel. You likey can fit the 285/60R20s but if you have aluminum you may get a little rub on the front of the UCA at full lock...I had a 2016 with cast steel, and I tried a set of 285/60R20 Duratracs that were very close at full lock and would probably have been fine but I went 275/65R20 for a tall look.

So yes I think you will be fine with that kit, and you could set it at 2 inches and not have trouble, as I have seen others doing just that.

If you want to level your truck, you'll be good with the RC 2" level kit which is just the lower spacer and no top spacer. You'll still have about 1/2" to 1" rake but it'll be easier on your ball joints than a 2 1/2' level kit. You can go to the subforum which you'll see towards the top of the main page called Accessories and Modifications then Leveling Kits. As far as control arms,  Aluminum is easy to tell by the color as well as steel and stamped has the two halves welded together.

In yalls opinion, if I go with the Rough Country 2.5 leveling kit above, should I go with the Toyo R/T 275/65R20 or the 285/60R20? Will both work with the RC kit and without having to trim the fenders or anything? Thanks!
