I don't have any experience with the Bestop ones other than I looked at a sample when I was deciding which to buy.  They looked cheaply made to me.  I also didn't like the idea of mounting the sensors on my door jambs (too easy to get damaged) so I went with the Amps.

Not sure what you mean by simplicity -- if you have a later-model truck the Amps are plug-and-play.  You do need to run the included fused power wire from your battery but after that it just plugs right into the OBD2 port.

Yes plugs into obd port, but for the 14-17 instructions it shows drilling a hole through the floor of the truck [emoji32] not so keen on that!!! I am going this weekend to pick the truck up so haven’t looked yet, you would think there is a factory pass through there already?

On the 1500 there was no factory pass-through but you only needed to drill a small (maybe 1/4") hole through the floor pan.  Amp supplies a grommet to go into the hole.  Thread 2 small wires up through the grommet then I added some silicone for extra protection.  This is all under the carpet near the sill so it's all covered and protected.  I've been through 3 years of rain and harsh winters without any problems.

If you looked hard enough you may be able to find a pass-through somewhere a little farther from the OBD port, you would just need to splice some extra wire in (the wiring and protective loom comes from Amp already cut to the correct length based on where they tell you to drill the hole).

I installed the Amps. No drilling, found a factory hole up the firewall and extended the wire. Quality product. Very satisfied.
