R&D Headlight Override

Is there anywhere to buy one of the R&D headlight override's for less than the $90 listed on their site? I have a hard time justifying this much money for the unit. Thanks.

Some people have done the "free" mod (or at least, close o free) and added in a switch to turn it on and off. I can't remember where all the info on it is though. Try doing a search on the site here for R&D, R&D Headlight Override, or similar searches.

I have the kit, and although I didn't really want to pay that $90.00, I'm very happy with it. I like the "factory look" that it has. Here's some info and pics of the install. http://tommy3z71.homestead.com/hl_overide.html

Information on a "self" install would be greatly appreciated. Installing a simple swith myself would meet my needs. I could do without the factory look to save $90.00. Thanks in advance.

I found several threads of guys talking about "receiving" instructions and pictures to disable the auto on themselves. The threads also said they did it with success. Problem is after searching for 1 1/2 hours I can't find the instructions and/or pictures anywhere. Any assistance you could provide qould be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Rick

There was a thread that Dex857 (one of our members) posted that had a pic of the small rocker switch he mounted on the instrument cluster bezel, some where just to the left of the steering column, but I can't find it now. If I do, I'll post it here for you.
