Where to get a lift installed

Anyone know a reputable place around Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess County NY area who installs lift kits for my 17 Sierra 1500? Dealership wants $800 to install 2.5” RC lift (4hrs at $150/hr and $200 for kit). Appreciate any assistance. Thx!

For this type of work I would look for an independent garage that has extensive experience working on 4WD truck suspensions. If there are problems with the lift kit they will know what to do to correct them and are likely to have the parts or at least know where to get them. I have found Yelp to be useful in my area for such searches and the customer review provide some indication as to the integrity of the shop.

You suggest just searching for auto mechanic and just checking the reviews to see if people are getting lifts done there and successfully? thx!

I don't live in NY, but he's suggesting to find a specialty shop, not just any auto mechanic.

For instance, I got mine done at a local shop (in Texas) that primarily does custom fabrication and SEMA builds. Bolt on kits and tire/wheel packages are their bread and butter for easy income for the shop when they aren't tied up in major builds.

Appreciate the help. I have a few leads I’m gonna follow up on. I can’t believe how much the labor is at some of these places. I mean $500 for a leveling kit install?? I did my own install on my last truck but I hurt my wrist and can’t do it for a few months.
