Blower Motor

My Fan has quit on my '92 Sierra. It's been squeaky lately in the Low position and now it has quit completely. Haven't checked the fuse yet, but I'm assuming the motor has seized. Anything I should be aware of before I attempt to replace it? I have a Haynes manual and will use that but if you have any pointers, I'd appreciate them.

I've replaced them in a couple of GM vehicles. It's a pretty simple operation once you find where it's mounted on the firewall. Unplug the old blower, take out the mounting screws, remove old blower and gasket, put in new gasket and fan, put mounting screws back in and tighten, plug blower back in.

Well first off welcome to the forum.

I have the Haynes manual as well, and it didn't help me hardly a whit in getting off the foam cover over my motor. (it goes aaaaall the way up to the top, behind the glove box) TOTAL PITA!

Other than that, it's not overly difficult. I had done the one in my 89 Chevy right before I sold it, and I just did the one in my 92 about 4 months ago. The dash kinda gets in the way.

Just take your time, and be careful, and it should go well.
