Today I was out in the Ranger and it was raining. It had just rained last night & today so the roads were pretty slick because the oils and stuff were still on the road making it very slick. A cop pulled out of the ghetto and pulled up behind me at a stop sign. I was there first, but this lady in a van just rolled right on through! I had to put on the brakes and when I started to accelerate the Ranger did a peel out on me! I did not punch it or anything, it just lost traction! I was worried that it looked intentional to the cop and that he would pull me over, but he didn't. He did stalk the truck for a few blocks, but never lit up. That was close.

Yeah I know how easy it is to spin out in a ranger, wet or dry. I have driven my brother's a few times and I can fully engage the clutch, mash the gas, and it just starts spinning like crazy. He has gotten 3 tickets for exibision (sp?) of exeleration.

My dad was with me. If he did pull me, I would loose my licesnse for two years...however I would take it to court. I think the cop knew what was going on though.

Is this a learners permit were you must have a passenger over the age of eighteen with you at all times or a Provisional License that you have for the first year you drive?

It varies from state to state, but that is basically how it is. Like Truckman said, if I screw up this year, I am screwed for the next couple of years as well.
