P0010 code after dod delete runs like crap

Ok new to the site !!  So my mechanic  just finished up my dod delete , and tsp 216/220 non vvt Cam. Everything is good until I got the dreaded p0010 code. Do I have to delete this code ? My mechanic said I have to delete it bc the sensor is for vvt cams and mine now is a non vvt cam

Is there some reason you are questioning your mechanic?  If you're not doing the work yourself, let him finish it.  I am surprised he didn't do this as part of the tune to begin with.

He didn’t have the hp tuners but I have another guy doing the tune I was just needing input as to if that’s what needs to be done lol
