Transmission swap

So I got a 1992 Chevy C2500 , would a  93 Chevy 700r4 transmission fit ? Also would it make it quicker than the heavy duty transmission I have on it ?

It’s a heavy duty truck, not a drag car.  Get the trans rebuilt for your needs, if running the 1/4 mile is what you want to do,  get the trans built for that.
