So I bought this here

I want to make the matte black bumper face a glossy black like the rest of my truck. What are my options? What do you think is most costly? Buy, vinyl wrap, plastidip?

If buying one is my option where can I get one? My GM dealer?

I couldnt find anything in search so sorry if this has been covered.

Thanks guys.

Bumpershellz makes a 3 piece cover that goes over the bumper, I've not experienced it first hand but it seems like it might be the cheapest and easiest option.

You could vinyl wrap it, if you are good with vinyl it shouldn't be too expensive. If you have to take it to a shop to have it installed the labor could get pricey, depending on your local rates.

Finding a bumper off of a wrecked truck and replacing yours is a good option, but it is probably going to be hard to find.  You could buy a new bumper and have it painted from the dealership, but don't expect that to be cheap. A dear ran into the front of my truck and a new bumper was $666.20, before paint. They had to paint the bumper, grille, and fender and paint cost around $1,100.

I would take bumper off and have it painted and cleared by good body shop...

Make a few calls for pricing, but get heavy clear coat to help protect from rock chips..

My 2016 RCSB connected with 200lb buck for $12K damage and original bumper was "factory" flat black.

Requested dealer body shop paint gloss-black with heavy clear on replacement bumper..

Now, it looks great and will probably last longer,, unless another buck finds me..

Welcome to this forum!  Get a few quotes from local body/paint shops.  If too expensive,  follow adamj2121's first tip!  I'd like to see a picture of your truck because I think factory flat black bumpers have a great look!

Thanks for this! This was very helpful. I have the exact same model as yours, just newer. After seeing the picture of your truck I think this may be the route I'll take, it looks nice. Helps when you actually see it.

Sorry to hear about your truck! Let's hope that never happens again haha.
