Broken door stop

It was a little windy yesterday, and when I left work, my door got blown all the way open. Luckily no one was parked close enough for the door to hit their car, but I heard a loud CRACK and the door kept going, opening to probably around 100 degrees.

I can hear bits of the door stop rattling around in the door, and now the hinges/ mounting points are out of whack. The door won't close unless you slam the **** out of it, and it doesn't line up with the door frame when closed. I've got a small crease and a nice scratch where the door got pressed into the fender.

Didn't think it was enough to break, as it wasn't opening that fast. I've seen doors on other vehicles get blown open much more violently with no resulting damage.

Venting session over, here's some pics below.

I broke one in a car once the same way.  I was glad I caught the door before it bent the fender...

It was a cheap part and an easy fix at least.

Yeah, I was dumb enough to walk around the other side of the truck with the door left open, so I wasn't there to catch it. I guess now I've got another weekend project.

did you ever get this fixed?  If so,  what is that actual part called?  Is it actually called the doorstop?  my door didn't fly open I just opened it as normal and when it got to the stop I had a loud pop and heard a part fall in the door.  The door still shuts fine and I can't see anything wrong,  but I would imagine the pin that holds that doorstop inside the door is gone/broken.
