throttle booster < throttle body on the 4.3

If anyone with a 4.3 is considering the expense of a $300 throttle booster you might want to have a look at the 80mm throttle body conversions Overkill Motorsports offers for the LFX 3.6 engines.They all use the factory 80mm throttle body from the 5.3 and there adapter plate also happens to work on the 4.3.It is not a cheap upgrade but in my mind a larger factory GM throttle body is alot more of a reliable upgrade than these throttle boosters that tend to leave guys on the side of the road everytime they go out.The bore in the adapter will be a little off center and not a perfect fit so it is imperative that you use a little rtv silicone behind it as the throttle bore of the 4.3 is actually smaller than that of the 3.6 these where intended for.I didnt take any photos throughout the process but I did take one with both throttle bodies laid next to each other and there was a marked difference in size.This may not be for everyone but I am putting this info out there anyway and you can be the judge if its worth a look to you or not
