Hi everyone I am new here and to GM I just got a 2500HD and want to know if the z71 and duramax badges on hood and fender are just taped on? I hate stickers and Badges dont want to remove if the have pegs into body. Thanks in advance

They are held on with two sided trim tape.
I use a piece of fishing line to remove them then some of your favorite adhesive remover. You'll probably want to buff the areas too.

This, seems to be a lot of adhesive under the badges, at least on my last 2 GMC’s. I had to us lots of adhesive remover and patience,

I completely de-badged mine.  Use a heat gun to warm them up then fishing line.  Will need to re-heat during the process.  Some advice - don't pull on the badges / letters with your fingers b/c there's a risk the opposite end will scratch the paint as you leverage it off - it happened to me in a spot.

Then use the 3M wheel and finish up with adhesive remover.
