Ok Boys, I am new here. I bought an 01 Tahoe LS that was right on the miles.

I DO NOT have fog lights , I have seen some people talk about a fog light kit from the dealer and they want you to but the valance that has the holes pre cut.

Questions about the kit: Is it bolt up and plug and play???? What about where the switch mounts on the dash does that have to be cut out or does it have a "knock" out??? And has anyone cut the holes out on the valance for the fog lights???? If so what did you use????

 

Next question: The owners manula was missing is there some place on-online that you can download the manual?????

 

What if anything have you done to upgrade your audio system. I have a Eclipse CD-3422 in the box that I was going to put in my old truck. I can still return it for 100% refund. Will I benifit form installing this over the factory unit. I do not want to dump another 600-1000 bucks into an audio system but would like a little more bass and clarity. Any thoughts????????

First off... Welcome to the forum!!!

 

Your truck will have to have the BCM (body control module) re-flashed by the dealer in order for the factory foglights to work properly. They can be installed and alot of people here have done that as an aftermarket Mod!!! I'm sure they'll pipe-up and tell you the proper procedure...

 

As far as the Owners Manual, I'd just buy one from a dealer or check out Ebay.

 

And for the stereo, most people are saying that the stock head unit isn't too bad, but the speakers suck... it seems the speaker of choice is the Infinity Kappa Series. They say that when that speaker is installed the stereo is pretty decent!!!
