We found out the Motor-mounts on the X-terra are trashed (broken,Wore-out,Whatever youwant to call it).

 

My Questionis what causes them to wear and tear. We're trying to figure out who's fault it is.

I don't guess you have been brake-torque-ing the tires have you???? If there is a transmission bracket, you shoud get that checked also.

We had to replace them twice on an Altima.

I used to have an Xterra and never had any problems. I know a bunch of guys that beat the snot out of their rigs and I don't think any of them have had any issues. There are a couple of X boards out there that you can do some searching....

Seems common on Nissans. The ones on our Quest were all but completely ruined, well, so was everything else on that car, but that's another story...

Interesting...my old roommate had an '86 nissan truck, and he had to replace his a couple of times. He even said it was a recommended maintence procedure in the manual. Is that true?
