MyChevrolet App Now Appearing On Infotainment System

I've searched the forum back to the beginning of the month but don't find anything on this topic.  I've only had my '18 Silverado LT for 2 months and completely went through the infotainment manual just a few weeks ago.  That included "playing with" all of the settings and rearranging the icons on the home screen of the MyLink system.  Within the last week I noticed a new MyChevrolet app on the home screen.  I launched it but it wanted me to accept terms so for the time being I backed out and left it deactivated.

Does anyone have any information on this new app?  What does it do?  I'm concerned the terms could involve reactivating the tracking that was turned on by default for insurance savings offers.  I turned that off and really don't want GM tracking my driving or location.  I didn't pick up On Star, WiFi or the remote key fob app services when they expired.

It just shows you your owners manual, allows you to schedule a service visit and if any issues or recalls are known for your vehicle.
