Tuning... Canned or not-canned?

Just looking for some thoughts/reconmmendations. I have a 2015 Sierra 6.2L. Factory warranty has expired, and now I'm looking to tune. I'm super disappointed in how wimpy this 6.2L performs, along with the goofy-ness of this 8 speed transmission. I had Justin @ BB tune my 08 GMC 6.2L for me years ago, and really liked how he improved throttle response and how the 6 speed worked after tune.

I've seen some positive posts about guy in Van Buren (tuning by JP) so i'm thinking of taking truck to him. Other than that... was leaning towards Diablo canned tune.

Question is... do you guys think that there is really a noticeable difference between using the "canned" handheld tuner tunes and custom tunes (JP, Blackbear, Lew, etc.)?

I have just a Hypermax 2.0 tuner for my 17 Sierra 6.2 and the truck hauls ass. Only other performance mod is a Corsa exhaust.
I also have a stock 17 Silverado and stock 16 Yukon in the family all with the same motor and the comparison is night and day. I’ve never had a dyno tune on anything ??‍♂️

My custom Lew tune was night and day over the canned tune. Only thing I didn’t like was stock I had crappy mpgs then with the canned tune I gained back like 3 mpgs which was awesome and the truck ran a little better to. Then I got my Lew tune and lost those mpgs I gained but.... the truck runs great now so it’s a compromise I was willing to make.
