Random question, but you guys are a wealth of knowledge so it’s worth a shot. Found this tool laying on top of the motor of my wife’s car when I popped the hood. What the hell is it?

I think it looks like a super heavy duty trim tool ??‍♂️ Her car is a 2018 Mini Cooper S if it makes any difference...

Might be left from the factory? If you do some searches there are crazy finds like this. One guy found a tool wedged in the valley of his 60s something (F body?) Engine When he opened the motor for the first time 50 years later.
