Safety Alert Seat

My 2017 Denali has the Safety Alert Seat and the alert type is set to seat, not beep (using the radio).  The seat will vibrate for park aid alerts and collision control warnings, however, it will not work with the lane keep assist.  All I get is the amber light and the steering wheel input.

 

Is that something that can be enabled by the dealer or with a software update?  My owner's manual states on page 119 that I should have it (beep or vibration with LKA).  I drove another 2017 Denali and it did have the seat alert with LKA.

If following the manual doesn't work, take it back, should be a free warranty issue if you are still under warranty. 

If the vibration is working for other reasons that proves the hardware is working, it must be a programming issue.

I think I will do that.  Hopefully the technician is knowledgeable with the electronics and doesn't tell me that it is the way it is supposed to be.
