NBS Steering Wheel Swap Confusion

I am researching what all is needed to swap the steering wheel in my 03 2500HD with a steering wheel with the audio and DIC controls. Have not been able to find a concrete answer to what clockspring I need exactly. From what I have read, the HD models have a clockspring with 1 plug for the airbag, but I have also read that I need the 2 plug for the audio controls. This is pretty confusing to me.

 

It is my understanding that the HD models have a single stage airbag, and the non-HD models have a dual stage airbag control, but don't I need the dual plug spring for audio and DIC controls? Will I get the 2 plug and only use one of them? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Also, I read that to get the audio controls to work it would need a flash from the dealer. That's fine, but I also read that to get DIC It would also need the flash because of my gauge cluster. I have an Escalade cluster ordered, would DIC work with just a cluster that apparently supports it already or would I still need the flash? (I understand that regardless I need the flash for audio controls)
