2015 Silverado Alarm Question

Hey Guys, maybe someone can school me... I have a new-to-me 2015 Silverado LT. When I lock the doors using the key fob and hit the button twice I get a "chirp" of the horn and the doors are locked. I can manually test them and they won't open

 

So far so good.

 

However, last night after it had been sitting for while... I went to "check" if it was locked and was able to manually open the door! Immediately after opening I got a few short chirps, then the full alarm went off.

 

I replicated this today - locked her up, waited an hour, and tried the door...  which could be manually opened... then the alarm.

 

Is there some setting I need to adjust, or is something broken?

I believe this guy had the same issue as you.
