DRL Bulbs, options?

Recommended Posts

Just passed by a great looking GMC who had the bright blue/xenon type bulbs in his DRL sockets. Anyone know what the DRL bulb size is and where online to find some lighting options? I want to look at yellow and the HID looking bulbs. Muchas Gracias.

Huh? Is there a standard bulb application for the DRL bulbs? Like H3 880, etc? That sounds like a factory part number. Thanks.

That's the sylvania part number.

Edit I found this also from sylvania's website. Just some part numbers for lights on the truck. At the bottom it says 3457LL but I think the once that I suggested are the long life ones. click here.

You'll need to be carefull about colors other than white and amber in the front.  In a lot state and counties even the screw head covers that are reflective red or blue gets noticed with equipment violations.

So true about the color of the lights. I just got cited about a week ago for having a blue light illuminating the license plate. :chevy: Apparently it is California equipment violation to have other color light besides white illuminating the license plate (so I'm told by the Mr. policeman). Thank god it was only a fix-it citation. As for the DRL bulbs, I also run the 3157/4157NALL ambers and I really like the way it looks.

OK, I am sorry for all the stupid questions. I went down to Schucks Automotive and grabbed a set of DRL amebers, looked at the owners manual and had them in within minutes.
