Center hump pop

Our 2 boxers travel with us on long trips. I noticed on my 2015 GMC sierra 1500 as they moved around in the back floor I could hear the center hump popping. Fast forward to my 2018 GMC sierra 1500 and it does the same. Guess GM used that area for some weight savings.

I would guess you dont have the recall done? For the floor deadening.

there is a bulletin but it is only for customers with issues that complain. It is for the stabilitrac module int eh center console that is mounted to the floor boards. the floor vibrates and causes the module to miss read the sensors. So they spray super thick high build sound deaden er under the truck in that area to add structure to the floor. Sounds like it is exactly the issue you and possibly all of us have.....

My 2014 had a spot that did the exact same thing! Unfortunately it was in the drivers side footwell right where I had to bear down with my foot in order to reposition on long drives. Drove me absolutely nuts. Thankfully my 18 seems solid so far!
