Help on a purchase

How is everyone? To start off with, I just want to say I think this site is great! I don't post that often, but I come here ALOT! Anyhow, I have a 2002 Silverado that I love, but we are trying to grow the family and my family needs more room. So, I am looking at the Suburban and Tahoe. How do y'all like yours? Also, 2WD or 4WD? We live in Los Angeles, but go skiing 4 to 5 times a year and I would like to do more camping. Thanks for the help.

I haven't found any camp ground in LA county that allows us to drive to the campsite and requires 4x4 to get there (But if any of you know, let me know! ). I don't go to the snow too much (never with my truck so far), so I don't know if you'll need 4WD there.
