Today was the day.

The SPEEDY

Toyota finally gave out today. Speedo broke about a year ago, and the odometer reads 316,xxx miles.

Got home from school today, and I had steam comming out the exhaust. So 1 of 3 things: Blown head gasket, cracked head, warpped head. My dad doesn't think I can fix it (I think/hope it's the head gasket), but I am pretty d**n sure I can. What would it hurt any way?

So now the search begins. I was hopeing the car would run a little longer so I could save more money for a new car. :D I will finally belong here though because I'm sure as hell getting a GM (can't say it will be a truck though).

Getting rides to work and school sucks BTW.

I said before to drive the yoda till it blew up, but MAN, I did not mean to wish it on ya now! :D

Good luck finding a new ride! Bummin rides sure does suck!

Found any of the rides in your sig yet that you can afford now?

Thats why I'm upset about it. I'm still a few grand off from those, and have nothing to drive. :D To bad my brother is home now or I could drive the ford. <---Man am I desperate.

I told myself a long time ago I wasn't going to spend my money on something I wouldn't like latter down the road. So I hust bum rides for now.

For the right price, I would drop a 427...stroked....bored...blown....You could do some wheelies in it...

Only an extra 10 grand. :D

Oh yea getting a ride to school SUCKS. I had to do that when I had to replcae my flywheel. :) Luckily I had a friend that I gave a ride to when his clutch was out.

Wingnut. I could be happy with a 92 Blazer. My wallet couldn't right now though. :sigh:

Agreed, bumming rides does suck.

I could get you a Regal or Camaro for a good price, the only problem is that they are about 25 years old and sitting in a field in Alabama, and the Regal may have a bullet hole here and there...

Looks good, and 101k miles is not that bad. My dads old 72 GMC had a 305 TPI that the previous owner put in. Good little engine

How about a used Geo / Chevy Prizm for about 3-4K? I have a buddy at work that is selling his '99 Prizm with about 100K for about $3300 later this fall.

I've done the slow econo car thingy.  Just blew it up yesterday.

As far as that car goes Speedy, I would say that he has added just enough aftermarket performance stuff to make a 140k mile motor a big headache for someone else.

His price is a lot more realistic though.
