0 Offset vs Wheel Bearings

I've searched. I have a set of atx wheels from my old truck. They are a 0 offset and, when installed with a tire, barely peek out beyond the fender. I had them on my duramax for 40000 miles with no ill effects as far as I can tell. My question is will the 25mm difference from oem offset really affect bearing wear THAT much? Is it too much? I really like the look of the wheel but will sacrifice for durability. I run  285/70/17 KO2's. Other than that, no mods. Pic is the old truck. New truck the same but a crew cab. Thanks. Bob

If the 17’s fit over the caliper. In my opinion, as long as you aren’t in the negative offset on your wheels, should only be minor added stress to the wheel bearings, seems as soon as you go negative on the offset, that’s  when problems might crop up. So you’re on my imagined boarder line. I’m running a +12 on my truck.

I can't offer any first hand experience, because the negative offset, wide stance doesn't really appeal to me....but there are plenty of guys out there running negative offset wheels....and I've yet to come across any threads involving complaints about 2500HD's having premature wheel bearing failures.
