Pop & Lock or Bully manual tailgate lock?

I am in need of a tailgate lock for my 2003 1500HD. I have a Leer topper xq on order that allows me to keep the flat black plastic cap on the tailgate, but by keeping that cap, I will need a locking system for the tailgate. The Leer topper does have a piece of plastic that you can stick to you tailgate cap, but it looks really bad, so I would rather just have a seperate lock for both the topper and tailgate.

 

The two manual locks that I have found are Pop n Lock or Bully.

 

I neighbor of mine has the power gate on his 2003 and it's wired into the locks on the drivers door. That may be an option but the dealer wants 2 hours labor plus parts. (on the pre-2003's the wireing was much easier than the 2003's)

If you can get a power lock for the Leer, definitely look into doing the same for the tailgate. Otherwise, the Bully lock is an easy bolt on that look OEM.
