ABS Light...

New member here with a question. I've been reading the forum for a couple months and finally decided to ask a question. I have an ABS light on, only abs..not a brake light. I scanned and came up with code c0267, what could be the culprit? I've seen several c0265 mentioned on here, but no mention of 267. Brake fluid is to level, pads and rotors in good shape... is it the EBCM or a bad ground or??? Thanks for taking the time to read!

Thanks, got that info from the scan... was wondering if anyone here had this issue and where the possible solutions may lay. I should say common solutions such as grounds, or broken wires etc..

Just going to go on a whim an build it as a 2008.

DTC C0267 00

Low Brake Fluid Indicated

DTC C0267 71

Low Brake Fluid Indicated Invalid Serial Data

There are 2 separate codes for a 267. The symptom code is the secondary number. Do you know it?

Either way go to the Fluid level sensor. It is located on the side of the Master Cylinder. Disconnect the sensor. Vehicle off, Using a jumper wire jump the 2 terminals and watch the dash. Crank the vehicle and see if the light goes off. If the light is off and the MC is full. Replace the sensor. There is still a possibility that the reservoir could have a sticking magnet. But more than likely it is the sensor.

Here is the sensor you need. Fits 2000 - 2014 Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Yukon
