Some of you guys may remember me askingadviceon SUVs cause my mom was shopping.

Well this afternoon she\we bought a 2002 Nissan X-Terra and it is now sitting in our driveway.

I know some of you guys tried to talk me out of it, but we did a test-Drive and we were sold on it.

I like the ride quality of it. And yes, it's slouchy on acceleration, but in 5th gear it absolutely rocks.

It has 5spd Manual, and it's a 2wd drive. but it'll do until I can buy my own truck with 4x4.

Hopefully mom will let me behind the wheel of itbefore too long.

It'll last you guys a long time...

C'mon Shane, look at the track record of those two, "A long time," not likely....

I'm just messing w/ you general, enjoy it and just think it'll be super easy to lay rubber w/ that 5 speed manual.

Gosh, the money spent on that Xterra could've gone to helping a nice guy like Joe get to Florida........ I'm sure he'll forgive you General......... :sarcasm:

WTF is going on???  General bought a new vehicle instead of helping me get to Florida.  Geez, people always thinking of themselves, what is this world coming to.  Buying a new import instead of helping a friend get to Florida to get some.... :0  :0

Well guys, thanks for the compliments, and not saying "Why didn't you go with a GM you two-timing SOB?!".

And Joe, aren't you a little young to be "Getting some"?  :but:  :ehh:

Wait until you get to do some preventative maintanance on it, simple things like changing a fuel filter are a bitch and a half on Nissan's.

It took two days and $75 in parts (cause I broke something) in order to replace a simple f*cking fuel filter on a 2001 Nissan Maxima!
