Has anybody removed the front license bracket?

When I bought my truck I told the dealer that I didn't want the front license plate installed. When I went to pick it up they had the holes drilled but no holder. They ended up replacing the front trim piece for free...they were only 3/16" holes but still fairly ugly looking.
