i have a 2010 silverado (bought used ) but i noticed that the back seat has been unhookes from the back of the cab .The back seat where your back is has come unhooked from the

Plate on the back wall

How do you get this resolved ???

You have to unbolt the seat and put it back in the slot. Unless you modify the seat so that the back can be leaned down without the bottom being unbolted

It’s probably modified rear seat. Try folding the bottom part of seat up than rehooking the back part of seat before folding bottom back down.

i have and it doesn't reach the top of the hook all most through

If it wasn't modified than you will have to loosen the bolts and lift the seat up to get it back on. Make sure you still have the plastic shims on the metal hooks. They rattle like crazy if those are missing.

Hmmm, I have a rattle in my backseat that I haven't been able to track down, maybe this is the issue.

Just grab the top of the seat back and pull font and back on it. If it clanks that's your problem.
