This one is for all of you Fullsize SUV owners.  There are 2 Cupholders in the front for the two passengers and an amazing 4 in the rear for the middle row passengers.  However GM neglected to analyze the situation that when there are 2 people in the middle (or back depending on your seating) there are 4 cupholders availabe to them, but when you toss in a 3rd person you drop down to 2 because they block the folding arm rest/cupholder.  Not the end of the world, but funny in my mind.

Makes sense to me.  Once a vehicle get's crowded, you don't want them all in there bumping shoulders and holding drinks.  Works the same way in the front.  Put the third person in the front and they sit over the 2 cup holders...  thus indicating that when it's crowded, you should not be holding beverages (right?).  ;)

Actually, this shows the genius of GM.

Matt's Cup holder Theorem:

If a third person is added to one of the rows of seats, and siad person has use of both their hands, then all things being equal, there are still 2 cup honders.  The third persons hands!

If they are going to crowd if they are going to cramp my style in the front seat, then I'm gonna put em to work.  Especially if they are taking up valuable spit cup holders!
