Lifting/leveling 2015 Silverado 1500 4wd LTZ Crew Cab w/ trailer package

Hey everyone! First time on here so I apologize if this type of question is already on here. I'm a mechanic, but I have never lifted a truck before. I'm not going to use my truck for off roading, but I want it to sit higher and want a nice beefy tire on it. I had to compromise on the height so I'm not able to go too high. So right now my truck is sitting on 275/55/20's and I really want to do away with them and put 18's on it. I'm pretty sure 32's will fit without lifting or leveling, but like I said I want to go at least an inch higher, maybe 2. Can anyone help me with figuring out the best option? Do I start with a leveling kit and then do new wheels and tires? I need some true facts. I dont want to have to change gear ratios or have problems with stability control. I do drive my truck alot but not far. I am taking it down to SC in June so I need to do all this now cause I need new tires. Can anyone help me out here please??

Get a leveling kit and see how you like it with the factory size (diameter/width). You can take measurements or check the pinned wheel/tire fitment guide in the main 2014-2018 forum. There's loads of pictures with various levels and lifts to get you started in the right direction.

I recommend buying a good leveling kit, anything that's <$150 probably isn't worth it. Spacers work just fine, just don't do a level or lift that utilizes the lower coilovers mount.
