Mystery Part

I own a 2007 Silverado extended cab PU.  I found this part lying on the driveway and assume it fell off of the truck.  It's a corrugated, cylindrical rubber item maybe 3-1/2" long and 2-1/2" in diameter.  Can someone identify it for me?

Bumper for either the rear springs (mounted to axle) or the front control arms.  Probably the front.  The rears are a little longer (taller).

PTXer - Thanks for the info.  Are these parts replaceable without disassembly of the metal parts on which they are mounted.  The old one appears to be split lengthwise which would accommodate replacement but this may be deterioration and not the way it was originally manufactured.

On my 2003 the rears are mounted to a plate which then bolts onto the axle.  I think the fronts just slip on (no plate).

Check the swaybar bushings too.
