I briefly contemplated waiting for the CTS-V instead of the GTO. However with a price tag hovering in the $50's that quickly persuaded me towards the GTO.

 

In the end, the minor technicalities between the LS1 and the LS6 don't justify the $15 - $20k price hike. And it's a gap that can be easily made up and easily superceeded with what I've got planned.
