Thats pretty sweet but too bad the only thing we ever have gotten powder coated were big things like wheels and kart frames. But still cool.

Yeah....But you could get some UV lights....Would probably do the trick.

Or...Just reverse the wires on your welder....That should get some heat on there!!

For the small stuff though, you would recoup your investment the first time you used it. More powder can be bought at Home Depot for like $10!

About the cooking thing, they have to get pretty hot, don't think lights will be enough, and I wouldn't try the welder thing. Just find a cheap old oven. I really love how durable powder coat is. We send off all our car frames at work to have them coated. The stuff is so tuff a lot of times it is a pain in the but to get off when it is on something it shouldn't be on.

Come to think of it we have one of those guns at work, but I have never used it since we send off all our parts now. We just got rid of the pizza oven we used to cook them in too.

Durable

When my dad was building his '57 he wanted plain grey Chevy ralley wheels with out the trim rings but all the ones like it on cars had chipped paint, he had them powder coated about 3 years ago and it still looks great. :jester: Since then we also had a kart frame painted, when I went to go pick it up there was a race car frame in the shop that had been just coated the same color.

**EDIT**

Kart frame came out nicley. CLICK
