Starting Problems

Question

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0

It always starts up but sometimes not until 3 tries. Has a brand new starter. Fuel pump was changed not to long ago either. Otherwise it runs like new. Anybody have any idea what it could be?

Might be time for some plugs and wires. If not, check fuel pressure just in case - might be something going on there. So many new or recent part failures these days it's crazy.

check fuel pressure at the rail.

check for codes, as the various computers can generate them without turning on the CEL.
