Laserguns Posted September 26, 2003 Posted September 26, 2003 I currently am running the 70 series dual exit on my 03 5.3 tahoe. i was wanting the sound to be a little louder. i saw that the 50 series delta flow on the flowmaster website had about the same interior noise level as that of the 70 series. If i decide to go to the 50 series delta flow will i lose any low-end power?gain any?? anyone running a 50 series delta flow??? Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated!
Laserguns Posted September 26, 2003 Author Posted September 26, 2003 or would i be better off going to a magnaflow?? If so which one??
Black03SS_NJ Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I would love to hear someone's opinion on 70 series versus 50 series deltas as well.
Shaners Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 The more free-flowing the muffler is, then the less back pressure you would have. These Vortech engines make their low-end power with back pressure, but they gain high RPM power when the back pressure is removed. Going from a 70 series to a 50 series probably shouldn't give a real "seat of the pants" loss. I think it would only be most likely noticable when towing.
cowboy02 Posted October 29, 2003 Posted October 29, 2003 How about if you make the back end less restrictive..... say oh...... A magnaflow on the back end but you put a UPD (NSV) intake on the front end? Would you then gain your low end tourqe back? THanks.
