Anyone know of the good online place to buy from an authorized Pioneer dealer? I want to get the new MP3 WMA deck in soon. Not sure which one I want, the OEL display is cool, but may be a little too fancy for a truck. I was thinking of the Pioneer DEH-P550MP

No can do, install kits aren't too expensive, at least they don't make up for over $100 more that Crutchfield charges for the decks I am looking at. Thanks though.

I would go with crutchfield or etronics.com. I have had very good service with both in the past, and it's going to be hard to beat etronics.com's prices.

I have the DEH-8400MP in my truck. I love it. I used to be a big sony fan, but I switched over to Pioneer and IMO they're great.

Try "SOUND DOMAIN" They have good prices, A heck of alot cheaper than Crutchfields. They will beat any advertised price. I bought two Pioneers (one for my brother) and a Pioneer infinity BASSLINK Subwoofer that they pricematched from Etronics. I was pleased with that kind of service.

The Install kit and Wiring harness are definately way cheaper to buy than anything crutchfield lists.

Its all over ebay for about 150-160. I would rather go with the sony xplod cdx-mp40 which you can fid about $20 cheaper on ebay. I have one that comes factory in boat driving 2 600w amps, 6 speakers and a sub, and it sounds great.

Wow, loads of info. Thanks guys. I am now looking at the Apline systems, a friend who manages an outfit in Oregon changed my mind, said the new Alpines sound much better, so I am shopping the planet for the best deals. A little wary of eBay when purchasing electronics, don't want factory refurbs or grey market stuff. Awesome, though, thanks again.

Crutchfield is a great place to do some research, as they have a huge selection and a lot of information about each product they sell. You can also use their menus to compare a bunch of products and find out exactly what will fit your application.

Prices are crazy though, I found the best place for prices to be www.ikesound.com - they sell stuff at about 10 dollars above the employee discount, which is 5% over cost if I remember correctly. So you're getting good products for just above cost, and they're authorized dealers of all their products unless they actually state that they're not of a particular brand. (Does that make sense?)
