DIC cluster dead after jump start

2015 Sierra 2500HD

Went to start my truck and my gauges did the check like normal and everything lit up but truck wouldn't start. Eventually jump started it and now the gauges don't work at all. None of the DIC lights up or moves. Radio works fine, HVAC works, steering controls work but are lagged a bit. Only gauges are blacked out and not functioning.

I found a topic for a 2008 Silverado, but of the four fuses listed I only have one and that fuse was fine.

Does anyone have info on what fuses to check or where else I should look? Thanks.

Could be a bad battery. Did you replace the battery? Or does the truck start up without any issues now?

Sorry for your troubles but:

Good example why I replace batteries every 4 years so I avoid jumping.

The computers are just to quirky.

I vote for bad battery. It's due.

I avoid jump starts like the plague.

It's just a problem waiting to happen if you ask me. To much electronics to ruin from a surge, etc.

I refuse to give someone a jump. Carry one of those battery packs or call a tow truck. I'm not ruining my shit for someone I don't even know.

I'll give you a ride though no problem ?

Thanks for the help. It was a really bad battery. I went outside this morning and smelled rotten eggs and heard a faint hissing. Turns out my passenger side battery exploded sometime last night.

Hoping the acid all over the wiring and plastic won't hurt anything further.

Wash it all quick... baking soda is awesome. Sprinkle it all over, let it sit a couple mins. Rinse it off.

Aerosol (spray) battery cleaner.

Spray, rinse.

Used Exide brand for years.

Does a better job than baking soda IMO and easier to use.

Thanks for the tips you guys. I'll be sure to get it cleaned up best I can.

Hoping it's not too much damage inside the engine bay.

The song...got a good laugh out of that with the situation.
