Transfercase help

OK Guys, I could use a little help. I got a 05 gmc 6.0 4l80e with a 263 HD transfer case. The transfer case is bad. A friend of mine has a 07 Chevy 2500 HD with a 6.0 4l80e. Would the transfer case from the 07 fit in my 05? Any info is appreciated. Thank you!

If it's also a 263HD (as in, it's electric shift, not manual shift which is a 261HD), then it bolts right in.  You may wish to install a pump-rub fix in the TC before installing it in your truck if it doesn't have one already.

Note, I'm assuming the '07 you mentioned is a GMT800, not a 07.5/GMT900 2500...  I'm pretty sure they stopped using 4l80e with the GMT800, but I'm not 100% sure.

The 07 Chevy was made 02/07. So it is the 800 not the 900. Thank you for your feedback.
