Service 4wd

I just bought a used 2017 z71 with 18k miles. I have put about 6k on it and I recently started getting a “service 4wd” alert when I start the truck. It goes away after I dismiss it and won’t come back until I start it up again.  My 4wd works perfectly and I have scanned it a couple of times and I am not getting any codes. I have been told that i May just need to replace my switch. Anyone have this issue?

what did you use for scanning codes?  Most basic code readers only get them from the engine, or also the tcm/srs/abs systems.

My mechanic has used which ever scan tool they have. I have also used a cheap one from autozone and the scan tool on my diablo tuner
