For being a fairly smart animal.... Deer sure are fuggin stupid. Why the hell do they think at the last second they can dodge a big pile of metal flying 70 down the higway?? Can somebody please answer me that?? I gave my truck a nice doe hood ornament last night on the way home. I wanted to turn around and run the dam deer over again 3 or 4 more times. Just to make myself feel better. I am not taking pictures because it makes my head hurt just looking at my truck. Thank god for insurance. I think if I see another deer again im gonna go postal on it! :fume::confused::wtf::chevy:

Here in Michigan a fairly high percentage of single car accidents are due to hitting deer. In the fall, I see live ones crossing the road at least 2-3 times a week on my morning commute. I see dead ones at the side of the road daily. They need to extend the firearms deer season and cull the herd.

I got lucky and avoided that years ago. I topped a hill one morning on the way to work, it was just after dawn. There in front of me were a buck and a doe in standin in the middle of my lane. I hit the brakes hard to not hit them. THe doe moved out of the way but the buck stood there. He finally started moofing ant I got so clost to him, his a$$ got blocked from view by my bug deflector. He then jetted off to the side and ran next to me for a bit before running off to the side. d**n thing had me wired teh rest of tehe drive to work.

Here in WI they are real common to see along the road as well. In fact one stretch on I94 was literally red from all the deer getting hit along it. I remember one time a few years ago I was heading up a highway and a semi was coming the other way when a deer ran out in the road. I was thinking "Oh $#!+" if he hits that deer, it will sending it flying at me. Thankfully it got off the road before that happened tho...

Yes! In fact, I've often thought the best way to go "deer hunting" in Michigan is to get an old road commission snow plow and drive around at night. Then when you smack a deer, the plow shoves it to the side, stop the truck and throw the deer in the dump box.

Deer that I've seen hit by semis just explode like a big bag of red jello. Leaves little bits all over the highway. I-96 around the Nunica exit starts looking pretty grisly this time of year because of all the deer bits all over the road. Like a scene from a horror movie.

Deer. Man do they :fume: me off!!

1 month after I bought my '02 Impala LS, I hit one coming back from work less than a mile from home. I was so mad! Here in NW PA their everywhere!!

Hunting is huge here. It's funny, I hear these guys talk about spending hundreds and hundres of dollars on bows, guns, camo, ect ect...... and I think to myself... hey just buy a $200 junker and go out driving one night. WHAM! 1 deer. And you don't even need a license!! LOL

I agree... for being so smart and difficult to hunt, how can they be so stupid???

Ok, I'm done now.

One of my friends in high school was at an Explorer meeting at a NASA facility and hit an albino deer with his Ford Maverick. The car was totaled and NASA donated the deer meat to charity.

My buddy that has a 2500 Avalanche hit a deer on the way home from the dealer just after he took delivery of his new truck... :fume:

Another buddy hit a doe on the way to work with his beater car (Bonneville). Appearently the doe was pregnant because about 8AM that morning someone from the front office came out and got him and told him to take a box outside to his care and kindly remove the dead fawn from his grill...
