Shaners Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 After about a year since the clearance lights on my truck were fixed due to water leaking out of the overhead console, they started leaking again... I like the looks of the clearance lights, but I wish GM came up with a better way to seal them. Oh well, I'll just add them to my list of warranty work that needs done next time I get a chance to take it in...
BDBWTE Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Welcome to the club.. Have they started to whistle yet going down the interstate?? Then it's real awesome.
boomer 33 Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 I don't have the clearance lights, but my brand new Yukon XL is leaking, I guess from the XM satelite antenna? Only had it a few weeks, we had a heavy rain, and then I notice when I hit the brakes water drips into my left leg from the three bolts where the windshield visor attches to the ceiling ! No water anywhere else. Sucks big time. Anyone esle had this?
boarderman15 Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 do any of you have a fix for it to stop the leaking cause it is kind of annoying.
Polak Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 I put a dab of Black RTV Silicone under the head of the mounting screws. After that, no more leaky. I have nobody to blame on mine since I installed them, but the flaw is in the design, at least that's the story I'm stickin' to.
