i think all of gmc truck Interior light (gauge,AC)are lightgreen can i change the light to say blue,orange or white if yes how or where to get these blubs/light ????

I re-did my window controls, headlamp controls and cargo lamp/fog light controls in blue LEDs. The A/C I'm still working on because I am having problems with getting the light to disperse evenly.

I have plenty of LEDs I have leftover, if you want to buy em off me. They're about $3 each and you need resistors. You can get them at radio shack.

If you want, I can set you up with what you need (resistors and all) for a resonable price.

I also made a dome light out of 12 LEDs, it's pretty bright. I'll get you pictures of that if you like.

Thanx for ur reply I thought nobody will.

So does the scroll still function the one near the headlight control ?? can u make the light bright or lowering the light or even shuting the lights off

Ive done my interior in blue LEDS with chingon...

As far as the dimmer... no it dosent work the same. LED use alot less power so even when the dimmer is low it still full power for the LED.

You'll need resistors and we used 3mm LED's.

I think we used ones with 3000mcd and 20deg view angle.

For the window controls you will need to reflect the light into the fiberoptic to get the best results.

I'm almost positive but I think Audi uses LED's as well. I know the new VW's do.

Chingon, I'd be very interested in LED's for my trucks interior, we need to talk . Have you attempted the dash lights yet??

That freaking rocks man......... I've converted the floor lights to blue already and I'm working on finding LED's for the Door Lights to convert them to blue and then converting the dome light also....

However converting the dash lights looks sweet!!! How long did it take you to convert all the dash lights? Seems like that would've taken some time...

I guess I've got another project.

Yep, I want those dash lights. I used to have a new VW GTI... I loved the dash lights...the used nice BLUE LED's and RED LED's for warning lamps. I want to convert my truck to those LED's...

What kind of LED's are you guys running and where do you get them? What size of resistor is needed to be inline with these? How did you plug them into the sockets in the dash?

I've got a few more questions... I"m just really excited to see someone do this mod. I asked about it years ago with no repsonse...
