Well, my vote would have to be for an ATV....

If you want a sport quad (speed & handling & very light) my vote would be for the 400EX...bullet proof design!  My other choice right now would be a "new/rebuilt" Cannondale Cannible.  These are going for $5000 right now....its an older FX400 rebuilt by the factory with new SN's and everything...VERY GOOD BUY!  The new Suzuki Z400 also looks good, but I would give them some time to see if there are any bugs that need worked out (in the engine & tranny)

If you want a honk'in 4x4 (low end grunt, 4wd mudd'in & heavy) my vote would be for the Yamaha Grizzly 660 -or- the Kawasaki 650 v-twin.  The kawi has more low end torque and is a click faster, whereas the Grizzly has good power BUT IRS (makes for a soft ride)

For a real sport quad their is only one option to compare to a dirt bike... Yamaha Banshee  my baby will rock right with and past a 125 (sand drags) ... haven't tried a 250 yet.

400 ex, raptors, 'dales (although I have heard the speed can beat a stock banshee (if you can find a stock banshee)) DS650's all those four strokers are just not fun once youve felt the power of the 2 stroke... Don't even go to the Zilla level.. that's yuckie fast :)

4x4's you got Polaris 500 ho plenty of people have them my group has two very few problems. Grizz 660 good all around 4x4 Kawasaki (the lowest ground clearance of them all. and the quest all have pretty rave reviews.

If you are play ridin' and like to just tool around, I recommend a big four stroke. Something like the XR600. It has enough power to really have fun, but you can putt around on tight trails without killing it. Fuel economy is real good, too. The downside is that it weighs a lot more than the two stroke murdercycles.

only way to go, big bore.

bike: CR500AF from service honda, basicly the 500cc engine in the new CR250's frame.

and if you want a real quad. LT500, Quadzilla. nothing compares to it, but they are hard to find.
